Controlling Flo

In the game, you play as the main character Flo. Knowing how to control Flo properly will help you advance through the levels. When Flo is preparing an order, you can still click on other tasks for her to do, and she'll remember what to do next. For example, if a new customer walks in, you can click to fulfill that customer's order while Flo is making another customer's order. If a customer decides he no longer wants the order he first requested, you must wait until Flo discovers this by stopping at his table. You must then click on the busing station to fulfill the order. Keep in mind that it's always best to seat as many customers at one time as you think you can handle. Overbooking, though, can cost you the game. To restart a level, click the "Pause" button and the "Quit Game" option. Click on "Flo's Career" from the main menu and then click "Continue

Chaining

This tip will save you time and help you with long lines of customers. Chaining consists of performing a specific sequence of actions as quickly as possibly without interruption in order to earn bonus points. The longer you continue the chain, the larger your bonus score will be. You also can make chains by performing one task over and over without any new orders being placed. One of the easiest chains is to clear tables continually once dishes have piled up on several of them. You still can seat customers while performing this chain without disrupting your clearing points for completing each task. Another example of a chain is to take an order and seat the customers, then repeat the process for more bonus points.

Carrying Objects

A key to success in Diner Dash is making sure not to drop items and not to click too many times on a particular object. Throughout the game, Flo can carry from two to four items, depending on the level. The more items you can carry, the bigger chance you have of dropping something important, like a customer's money. You also must be careful when dropping a check on the table for the customers. Never try to drop a check and clear a table at the same time or you'll get no points and not be able to collect money. You must click on the customers first to give them the check and patiently wait until they pay. Click on the dishes to clear the table after you hear the cash register sound.
